The FPEC Story

Our story began in 1959 when founders John H. Davison and Armond Villian recognized a problem in the food processing manufacturing industry: customers were left waiting for late equipment, stuck with underperforming machines, and struggling to get responsive service.

They believed processors deserved better, and they knew they could be the ones to change the game.

With determination and a vision for change, they launched FPEC in a small shed behind a lumberyard in Bellflower, California. Marked only by a 20’ x 20’ sign, the company started off with high standards for innovation. Their first invention—the Pickle Injector—set a new standard for equipment performance and sparked their desire to bring customers a new level of OEM partnership. One rooted in meaning, purpose, and dedication for every step from engineering to manufacturing.

It was the start of a legacy built on listening to customer needs and delivering real solutions. FPEC would never leave a customer in the dark or deliver a simple sale. Our team was with our customers for the long haul.

Because of this stand-out mindset, growth came quickly. By the fall of that first year, FPEC had outgrown the shed and moved into a larger, 1,500-square-foot facility in Vernon, California. Proximity to a working meat plant fueled the rapid development of more advanced designs.

What began as a two-man mission to challenge the status quo became a company defined by engineering ingenuity and long-term relationships.

Today, that same dedication drives everything we do. Now, from our modern manufacturing headquarters in Arkansas, we serve processors nationwide with fully integrated equipment and automation solutions.
